Diploma in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) with a purpose of teaching English language to students at elementary level. Graduates are eligible to teach English in private primary schools or continue their studies to Degree level. The programme is designed to produce graduates who will demonstrate a set of learning outcomes that possess advanced linguistic competence; operate as an effective and efficient TESL practitioner; possess and demonstrate the qualities of having high market values that suit the demands of the industry; as well as operate and be responsive socially and professionally. At the end of the programme, graduates should cultivate their potential that can be contributed to national development. They are expected to meet the need for English language teachers who are knowledgeable and skilful to comply with the standard of education in Malaysia..

Minimum Requirement
A pass in SPM or its equivalent, with a minimum of three (3) credits in any subject including Bahasa Melayu and English
OR
Other equivalent qualification recognized by the Malaysian Government
**International students are required to achive a minimum score of 4.0 in the International Language Testing System (IELTS) or Band 2 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) or its equivalent.
