About President

DATO' HAJI YUSOFF BIN HARUN (DPMS, SMS, AMN) was appointed as President of Kolej Poly-Tech MARA on February 17, 2010. He holds an MA in Education from the U.S. Administration SANDIEGO INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY, CALIFORNIA and B. SC in the field of Civil Engineering from Brighton Polytechnic, ENGLAND.

He has extensive experience in the field of education management. Among the positions he held at the Ministry of Education is the Assistant Director of Planning & Development Unit, Assistant Director of Civil Engineering Unit, and Deputy Director of Technical and Vocational Education. He also served as Director of Shah Alam Polytechnic, Director of the Selangor State Education Department of Education, Educational Technology Division Director, Director of Technical and Vocational Education Division in the Ministry of Education, Malaysia, Putrajaya. He also served as Deputy Director General of Education Malaysia is responsible with all the development of Technical and Vocational education.

During the service, he also represented the Ministry of Education Malaysia joined visits, seminars and international conventions. Visited countries including America, Australia, England, Korea, Japan, Philippines, Thailand, Bangladesh and others.

In the capacity as head of several organizations, he has brought change for change to strengthen the organization by adopting a quality management system based on international standards. As such, he is known to the nature of high specificity and credibility in his career. He is a respected figure, particularly in education and a leader who greatly contributed ideas to the development of technical and vocational education.
